Sacramento’s Cain Sandoval 3-0 (3KO’s)all within the first minute returns to Fight Club OC on April 14th to face tough and roughed 4-1 (3KO’s) Jose Rodriguez out of Fresno, CA in a 6 round war. Rodriguez, hot off of four straight wins has never been more ready to take on Sandoval. Sandoval on the other hand is ready to answer the call with flying colors.
Ernesto “Tito” Mercado is back in action on April 14th. For those unaware, Mercado was in a prime position to fight for his father’s native Nicaragua in the Continental Olympic Qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but due to COVID, all the qualifications were changed, and Mercado was unable to compete or be given a chance to secure a spot.
“I won’t lie, it hurt not being able to fight in the Olympics,” said Mercado. “I know everything happens for a reason and I am more driven and focused because I feel as though one of my goals was taken from me.” On April 14th Tito Mercado takes on rugged Andrew Rodgers from Indiana, a veteran of 17 professional fights.
MMA fans are in for a treat come April 14th as 4-0 Danny Silva returns to the FCOC ring this time to face 2-3 Geoff ‘The Gentleman” Mellor out of Laguna Hills, CA. This will be the second time these fighters have met but the first time as Professionals Athletes… This is the fight that counts!
Sonny Robledo 3-0 is coming back to Fight Club OC with a vengeance on April 14th as being knocked down back in Feb wasn’t in the game plan. After fine tuning his skills in the gym, Robledo is back this time against 3-1 Michael Myers from Los Angeles. Myers coming off a win against Matt Gaver back on our outdoor Oct 14th show. Both fighters are FCOC veterans and we see this being another boxing back and forth money fight, so start wadding your cash now!
Middleweight Boxer Jesse Gonzalez 2-0 out of Santa Ana returns as well on April 14th to face Hugo Sanchez out of Madera, CA a veteran of one professional fight. Gonzalez hot off of two wins both at Fight Club OC is looking for his third W, Sanchez on the other hand has his eyes set on his hand being raised. Come April 14th we will find out the outcome!
In our opening MMA bout Steve Mora 1-0 from Anaheim faces Johnny Robles 1-1-0 from Downey. This fight is set in the bantamweight division at 3 x 5 min rounds. Make sure to be in your seats for this bout as you never know what happens when the 4 ounce gloves let loose!
