Fight Club OC returned to the OC Fair and Events Center with a five fight boxing and MMA card that included three action-packed boxing bouts.
In an explosive heavyweight bout, Enrique Gastelum (5-1, 3KO) sledgehammered Trent Rawlins (3-1-1, 3KO), dropping him hard in the second round and followed up with a relentless attack that culminated with a perfectly landed looping right cross to finish him off. The two battled toe to toe but, ultimately, Rawlins was handed his first loss. Time was 1:18.
Guadalupe Arroyo (2-1) won a four round featherweight bout over Victor Ramos (0-3) in a four round featherweight bout. Arroyo proved to be the busier fighter while Ramos landed the seemingly harder punches but not enough of them. By way of split decision scores of 39-37, 37-39, 39-37, Arroyo, from neighboring Huntington Beach, deservingly got the nod in front of his hometown crowd.
In opening bout action, a four round super lightweight bout, Gloferson Ortizo (4-0-1) easily won a unanimous decision victory over Devonte Donaldson (1-8-1). Scores were a unanimous 40-36 in favor of Ortizo.
A lively standing room only crowd of 1,482 were in attendance. Fight Club OC returns on Thursday, October 13th. For tickets, visit www.fightcluboc.com.
