Running his record to 5-0, but losing his KO streak at four, Westminster featherweight Humberto “Filly” Rubalcava scored a UD win over very game Jose Fabian Naranjo who drops to 3-4.
Training out of the La Habra Boxing Club and under the guidance of Dave Martinez, lightweight Israel Mercado made his pro debut a winning one by stopping 0-1 Phillip Percy who did not come out for the third round.
In a solid MMA bout Laguna Hill’s Justin Governale lost a close decision split decision to 6-1 Jordan Winski.
The fight of the night which saw close to $100 thrown into the ring, Abel Sanchez trained Ruslan Madiyev scored a UD over a very solid Baltazar Ramirez. Ramirez was cut in the second round and bled the entire bout but gave as much as he could. Madiyev improves to 8-0 and Ramirez drops to 3-2.
