Top prospect out of the Espinoza Boxing Club hard hitting and undefeated junior welterweight Antonio Orozco (9-0, 6 KOs) of San Diego, California by way of Mexico will step back into the ring on Thursday, April 21st at the Hangar at the Orange County Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. In his last outing, the 23-year old Orozco, scored a 1st round KO over Manuel Aguilar of Mexico in the first installment of ‘Fight Club OC Special Edition’ on March 18th at the Hangar at the Orange County Fair and Event Center.
Also, in action April 21st will be welterweight Hugo ‘The Boss’ Centeno looking to stay perfect and continue his KO streak of six wins all by way of knockout, Centeno of Oxnard, CA takes on Jiovanni Rubio (7-14, 4 KOs) of Santa Rosa, California, who just upset tough Jason Davis in March to win the Marconi Fight Night Championship Belt.
Female welterweight Holly ‘Lil Bear’ Lawson (0-1) of Los Angeles, California is set to challenge Adriana Leal (0-0) out of Coachella, California, as Leal makes her professional debut. Lawson a personal trainer is originally from Vancouver, Canada but has lived and trained in Los Angeles the past 11 years.
Local talent Steffan Lugo now (1-0) a Newport Harbor High and San Diego State graduate goes for his second pro win against Stockton’s Robert Lopez. Lugo scored a third round knockout of MMA veteran JJ Ambrose who was making his pro boxing debut.
Returning to Orange County after a year’s absence, 6’7″ heavyweight hopeful Lionel Davis returns with a perfect 8-0 record including six knockouts. Davis, a former Division 1 basketball star at Idaho will face Ethan Cox in a four rounder.
Fight Club OC is a hybrid fight series and we plan on bringing the heat when it comes to our 2 MMA bouts on this card. Fight fans in attendance will see WEC veteran Seth Dikun now 7-4 battle Tyler Weathers who sits at 7-6. This fight is set at 145lbs with 3 min x 3 rounds. In our second MMA bout undefeated 2-0 Mike Gahan out of San Luis Obispo is prepared to go toe to toe with Tyler Freeman a veteran of 2 pro fights from Mission Viejo.
