In main event action on Thursday night at The Hangar at OC Fair & Event Center in Irvine, California, once defeated junior welterweight Aris Ambriz put on a beautiful boxing display to wear down the slightly favored Hector “Teco” Serrano. By unanimous decision victory (79-73, 79-73, 77-75), Ambriz improves to 15-1-1 (8KO) while Serrano drops to 13-2 (5KO). Although there were no knockdowns, Serrano was a bloody mess for the majority of the fight and Ambriz was moments away from stopping him when the fight ended.

In semi main event action, a scheduled four round cruiserweight fight, Brent “Urban Cowboy” Urban overpowered Joseph Jones, knocking him down early in the second round and knocking him down for the count later in the round. By way of knockout victory at 2:02 of the second round, Urban improves to 7-3-1 (5KO) while Jones drops to 4-4 (2KO).

A heavyweight attraction featured former University of Miami fullback, Quadtrine Hill, who proved too much for Chad Davis, and won by way of unanimous decision victory (40-35, 39-36, 39-37). Hill improves to 4-1 (1KO) while Davis drops to 2-8. There were no knockdowns in the fight.

In undercard action, a four round lightweight contest, southpaw Oscar Andrade engaged in a sloppy foul filled fight with cannon fodder Manuel Delcid. The flashy southpaw Andrade was not nearly as impressive as his Hector Camacho-esque shorts but did enough to sweep the judges scorecards (40-36, three times) to improve to 5-0 (2KO) while dropping Andrade to 4-6 (1KO).

The first ever bout at the state of the art venue, The Hangar at OC Fair & Event Center, featured an action packed four round bantamweight contest between Danny Roman and Jensen Ramirez. Although Ramirez appeared to do enough to win, he would have to settle for a draw as the judges scored it 40-36 (Ramirez), 39-37 (Roman) and 38-38. FightNews had it in favor of Ramirez 39-37. Roman goes to 1-0-1 (1KO) while the unlucky Ramirez goes to 0-1-1.

It was a capacity crowd sellout of 1,568 fans in attendance in addition to all 10 luxury suites filled to capacity at what could quickly gain recognition as the finest boxing venue in all the land. Promoter for the event was Roy Englebrecht Promotions.
