Two heavyweight bouts are better than one, and fight fans will have a double dose of the big guys on next Thursday’s April 7th Fight Club OC show in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center, with the action getting underway at the NEW 2016 STARTING TIME of 7:00pm.
Former college football player and Huntington Beach resident Adam Stewart will face Oceanside’s Matt McKinney in one heavyweight bout, with the 6-7 Stewart making his pro debut against the 1-1 McKinney, a former college water polo player.
In the other heavyweight matchup it will be another former collegiate football player Dakota Walker vs LA’s Cashton Young, with both fighters standing at 1-0.
Santa Ana’s Ricky Frausto will make his pro boxing debut on the April 7th show against Stockton’s 1-1 Cesar Hernandez.
The boxing portion of the hybrid show will also feature undefeated 11-0 middleweight prospect Nate Gallimore out of Evanston, IL meeting tough Luis Alfredo Lugo with a 14-24 record.
Mixed Martial Arts action on April 7th will be “off the charts” as Huntington Beach’s John Mercurio at 7-7 meets San Diego’s 11-12 Matt Lagler in what should be a stand up war. Plus, San Pedro’s Gabriel Green one of the top amateur mma fighters in the state will make his pro debut in The Hanger facing Chula Vista’s 2-0 Andrew Lagdaan. Green is destined to be a big time fighter so fans will get to see him start his pro career here in Orange County.
