luis ramos jrThe pride of Santa Ana, Calif. Luis Ramos Jr. (19-0, 8 KO’s) was originally scheduled to face David Rodela in August, but he was attacked by three thugs during fight week and was forced out of the bout. The 23-year-old bounced back quickly, was cleared to resume training and he’s eager to make a statement against Rodela on September 30. With a 2-0 record in 2011 including a big win over Francisco Lorenzo in his most recent outing in June, Ramos is right on track for a big finish to the year should he beat his Southern California rival Rodela.

Oxnard, California’s “Dangerous” David Rodela (15-4-3, 6 KO’s) has had his share of ups and downs over the last couple years, but with his head clear and a major fight against the unbeaten Ramos coming up, the 29-year old is poised for a comeback. The owner of wins over world-class competitors like Kevin Kelley, Jose Luis Soto Karass and Julio Gamboa, Rodela has already proven himself to fight fans, but he believes he’s just scratched the surface of his potential. He’ll look to make a big statement to that effect by pinning the first loss on Ramos’ record on the 30th.

Ronnie Rios      21-year-old Ronny Rios (15-0, 7 KO’s) has continued his steady run through the 130-pound weight class in 2011, decisioning 12-1 fellow prospect Georgi Kevlishvili and taking just 72 seconds to dispatch Noe Lopez Jr. On September 30, the hot Santa Ana prospect will step through the ropes to face another tough opponent.

josesanchez      The third Santa Ana standout who will see action on September 30 is 20-year-old Jose Manuel Sanchez (5-2, 2 KO’s), a promising southpaw who is beginning to show off the talent that has fight fans on the edge of their seat swhenever he fights. Fresh off of an impressive summer that saw him win two in a row over Luis Martinez and Ricardo Garcia, Sanchez is promising to kick off the fall with a victory over Bakersfield Christian Gonzlez.

Fans at home can also be part of the action by participating in Cinturón Tecate and voting for the fighter in the main event who displayed the most character in the ring by sending a text message to 55333. Voting will be open through the end of the weekend.
