Five Undefeated Fighters Headline Fight Club OC Show

Costa Mesa, CA.; Five undefeated fighters, including 9-0 heavyweight Alex Flores, who is rated #37 in the world by the WBC, will step into the ring at this Thursday’s Fight Club OC in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center. The six bout card promoted by Roy Englebrecht Promotions may be the best matched card of the year and some tickets still remain for the 7:30pm show.

In one of the featured bouts of the night, top heavyweight prospect Alexander “The Great” Flores will take is perfect 9-0 record with 7 knockout into his toughest bout of his young career, when he meets 10-4 Las Vegas product Henry Namauu. Namauu who is a former football player at UNLV has scored 5 knockout wins, so this eight round bout should see fireworks. Flores, who just turned 22 years of age on August 9th, received a nice birthday present, as the latest WBC rating came out last week and he moved ahead of 2008 US Olympian Deontay Wilder and is now rated the 37th best heavyweight in the world.

Not to be overshadowed, the Fight Club OC mixed martial arts bout of the night will be one of the best and it will be all Orange County, as former UFC veteran, Irvine’s own Rob Emerson will take another step in his quest to get back into the UFC, meeting tough 4-4 Jason Williams out of Buena Park. Emerson, called “The Saint” had a 4-3 UFC record and will be looking for his 13th MMA win on Thursday.

Other matchups involving undefeated fighters sees 3-0 Byron Gonzalez, who at 18 has three big wins in Mexico and for his USA debut will face Richard Malfavon a veteran of 11 pro fights. La Habra’s 2-0 Isaac Tadeo will meet Yucaipa’s 0-1s Silvania Reyes, 2-0 Luis Bello from LA will face 1-1 Alejandro Ochoa from Bell Gardens, and 1-0 Brady Rein from Poway will face Omar Barefield.
