Rumble On The Water 3 Pro MMA Recap

September 12, 2017

Long Beach, CA — Six heart stopping MMA bouts took place Saturday night when Roy Englebrecht hosted the third Rumble on The Water at the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The fights, held on the property of the 1930’s era ship, were an untelevised intimate event of fewer than 500 patrons. The main event featured local star Jacob “Lil’ Badger” Rosales vs. Alex Arredondo who traveled from Arizona to fight in the featured featherweight bout. In the co-main slot was a lightweight fight between crowd favorite Tommy “The Spaniard” Aaron and Las Vegas, NV’s Justin “Guitar Hero” Jaynes.

All six fights were matched by Mel Valenzuela, who spoke exclusively with MMA Uncaged following the fights.

“To say I’m happy about this card would be an understatement,” Valenzuela said.

He says that in order to book this card he started from the top down, hiring his main event fighters first and working from there.

“I started with the three guys that I knew would bring it, Tommy Aaron, Mike Segura and Jacob Rosales,” he said. “I know they always fight action packed bouts. You cannot get any more fan friendly than those guys.”

The entire card from top to bottom lasted just under two and a half hours and that’s exactly how Valenzuela says cards should go.
