After fighting all 13 of his pro fight in Russia, the WBA’s #3 and WBO’s #9 ranked middleweight in the world Arif Magomedov got welcomed to the USA with a hard fought win over very game veteran Derrick Findley Thursday night. Before another sold out crowd of 1,432 at Roy Englebrecht Promotions bi monthly Fight Club OC show, Magomedov, who is now promoted by Main Events, remained unbeaten and moved to 14-0 by connecting more often and more solidly than the experienced Findley who drops to 21-15.

While in control through all eight rounds, and having Findley in trouble in the 7th, the Russian just couldn’t put the tough Gary, Indiana veteran away. While Findley did land solid body punches in a number of rounds, the punches just didn’t seem to faze Magomedov. A Fight Club OC tradition continued as appreciative fans threw nearly $150 into the ring to show their graditute for the effort by both fighters.

A big winner on the eight bout card was Orange County’s Reece Bennett who thrilled nearly 170 of his local fans with his pro debut win over Fernando Najera. Other winners were Malcolm McAllister, Joshua Conley, Kevin Watts, Mark Hernandez, and Leduan Barthelemy.

The next Fight Club OC show from The Hangar at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, CA is Thursday, June 11th.
