Before a record crowd of 1,482 fans and a record ticket gate of $59,470 the packed Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center witnessed a fight card that didn’t disappoint.

It was a night that saw three pro debut boxers score upset wins, two heavyweight prospects stay undefeated, and an appreciated crowd toss $314 into the ring.

Scoring wins in their pro debuts were Santa Ana’s Mauricio Gomez with a MD win over 1-0 Guadalupe Arroyo in a good featherweight battle; Ivan Marquez out of Oxnard and trained by Hugo Centeno Sr stopping 1-0 Garrity Mcosker in the second round; and Riverside’s Alfredo Hernandez with a MD over 1-2 Daniel Kim.

In Heavyweight action, former Australian rugby star turned boxer 3-0 Trent Rawlins, who is trained by Chris Byrd, had to settle for a draw over 1-2 Mike Kyle; and Huntington Beach’s Adam Stewart scored a UD over 2-1 Rafael Rios
