COSTA MESA After six action-packed fights during Fight Club OC Thursday at the Hangar Thursday, the main event wound up a bit anticlimactic.

Heavyweight Alex Flores of Rowland Heights took just 2:51 to knock out Kelsey Arnold of Lexington, Kentucky. Flores (7-0, 4 KO’s) landed a left to the stomach followed by a short, hard right to the head that sent Arnold (4-9) down for the count.

As has become the tradition at Flight Club OC shows, the seven-fight card featured MMA and boxing matches.

One of the most entertaining fights of the card was the 137-pound boxing match between Lisette Medal of Maywood and Yolanda Ezell.

The women weren’t afraid to mix it up and when it was over, Medal came away with the unanimous decision.

In a155-pound MMA bout, Buena Park’s Jason Williams (3-5) stopped Riverside’s Gilbert Salinas with a rear naked choke hold 20 seconds into the second round.

Fullerton’s Tyler Weathers and San Bernardino’s Tommy Vargas spent most of the four rounds of their 137-pound MMA battle maneuvering for the advantage on the canvas.

Vargas, who won by unanimous decision, took control in the final round, keeping Weathers on his back and scoring often with punches and elbows.

Ronald Gavril of Laguna Beach, who was making his pro boxing debut, connected often with jabs until before scoring a technical knockout of Gilbert Gastanum at 2:11 of round-three of a 172-pound boxing match.
