The launch of Orange County’s first pro MMA Series, Fight Club OC MMA Saturdays, set to debut on Saturday, April 14th in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center will have a strong OC feel to it, as Orange County’s top mixed martial arts warriors are set to do battle in the Fight Club OC CAGE, and each and every bout could be a war!!

The Saturday April 14th show will be the first of three Fight Club OC Saturday dates in 2012 announced by promoter Roy Englebrecht, with the other two shows set for Saturday, October 6th and Saturday, December 8th.

Former UFC World Champion and now UFC Executive Vice President Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell has been invited by Roy Englebrecht to be his guest at this big Opening Night Show on April 14th and enjoy the great fight atmosphere that is Fight Club OC, and Chuck has accepted, so we will have a World MMA Champion in the house!!

Two of Orange Counties finest will do battle on Sat April 14th inside the Fight Club OC Cage. Tyson “The Anti-hero” Jeffries now 8-6 is coming off his big M-1 Global win against tough Eddie Arizmendi at The Hangar last December. With 7 of his 8 wins by way of submission Jeffries has never been more ready to return to The Hangar to show Fight Club OC fans his Mixed Martial Arts skills.

Keith “The KO Kid” Berry Out of Irvine brings his former StrikeForce, WEC, King of the Cage and Gladiator Challenge experience to the FIght Club OC Cage on April 14th. Berry now sitting at 11-8 has never been more prepared for this fight so he can show his loyal local fight fans the reason they call him the “KO KID!” “The KO KID” will be looking for yet another KO as 7 of his 11 wins come by knockout the remaining 3 come from submission.

If you have ever wondered what a MMA fighter has to endure in order just to fight then you need to watch “Encaged” the short docu-drama on Yoko “Godzilla” Hamamura out of OC Kickboxing Costa Mesa as this short film follows Yoko all the way through the process, all the way up to his first professional win. Hamamura now 2-0 will not only be fighting at Fight Club OC MMA Saturday on April 14th but “Godzilla” is looking for that 3rd professional win as he faces JC Llamas 1-1 out of Bakersfield. This fight is set at 170lbs and is 3 rounds of 3 minutes.

In our 160lb fight it will be an all OC battle as 6-5 Josh Smith out of Lake Forest goes up against 3-2 Emilio Chavez from Fullerton. This fight is set at 160lbs and set for 3 rounds of 3 minutes.

MMA fans will also see in action 9-4 Samuel Quito out of Huntington Beach facing Carson’s Wayne Phillips who sits at 5-4. Both fighters are ready for battle at 170lb fight in this 5 round war!
